The first pilot Santro was rolled out from the Chennai facility and since then the car is doing wonders. After receiving appreciation and acclamation from people across the country,
Hyundai India introduced many other counterparts and variants of the small Santro. Further to that, the entire spectrum of Hyundai cars including the i10, i20, Sonata, Accent, and Verna are commendable production offering a complete captivating and joyful driving experience.

Furthermore, in response to the keen desire of expanding its operation in India and a commitment to provide global technology to Indian customers, HMIL established its second plant in February 2008 with a production capacity of an additional 300,000 units per annum. The brand has also mated to various financial institutes like HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Punjab National, Sundaram, and Mahindra Finance to provide an easy and comfortable approach to buy Hyundai cars.

In the year 2008, the brand has successfully completed its 10 glorious years on Indian shores. A unique trans-continental drive in the indigenous i10 Kappa from Delhi to Paris was a commendable achievement that created automobile history in its unique way. Moreover, 'Car of the Year 2008' to i10, 'TNS Voice of the Customer - 2008' to
Hyundai Santro and Accent, and ‘Car of the Year 2007’ to Verna are some known accomplishments that helped Hyundai carved its own niche in the Indian car market.
